Who We Are

We are a multicultural organization that seeks to model the Gospels that tell us we are all one in Christ. With over 100 churches worshiping in ten different languages, we are intentional about transcending cultures and working collectively.

Our desire is to expand the Kingdom both through the growth of our current churches and through planting new churches.

As an organization committed to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we believe that everyone that is part of our organization deserves a “seat at the table.”

You must be asking yourself:  Where does our name come from?

We take our name  after the Bible verse found in  Acts 12:24. It describes the fruit we desire to see from our work,

“But the word of God continued to increase and spread.” (Acts 12:24 NIV)

Our purpose and commitment is to encourage and teach local churches to grow and expand. We exist to care for churches and to start new churches. As a result, one-fourth of our churches have been planted in the last ten years.

In addition, Acts 12:24 Churches functions as a conference of the Free Methodist Church in U.S.A. We also sponsor Acts 12:24 Church Development Network, a network that nurtures new churches and congregations that are not yet part of the Free Methodist Church family.

GOALS: “Steward, Expand, and Multiply.”

Our actions give life to the goals – “Steward, Expand, and Multiply”– we hold dear in our hearts. Known as “Enduring Initiatives,” our goals enable us to keep our focus firmly on local churches.

Enduring because we visualize a continuous and clear focus on these goals for over many years. Initiatives because we want pastors and local churches to bring their initiative and creativity to these tasks.

God has blessed Acts 12:24 Churches in many ways, and we wanted to steward well what God has given to us.

Every local church, every pastor, and pastor’s family, and every local church member has been entrusted to our care by God.

To steward well what God has given us,Acts 12:24 Churches functions in a regional system, with regional superintendents, district leaders, and regional personnel (MEG – Ministerial, Education and Guidance) boards.

Currently, we have seven regional superintendents.

Growth is essential to an organization. They ensure that we are maximizing our resources productively.

Acts 12:24 Churches wants to expand the Kingdom by growing at the rate of 6% per year. We seek to experience growth and expansion through healthy growing churches and church planting.

We want to encourage churches and pastors to see new conversions each year, to move the Kingdom forward through a growing local church, and focus on church planting.

The goal is to involve as many congregations as possible in planting a new church. We have seen success in new church planting by local churches. As a result, more churches and pastors are participating in the “churches planting churches” vision.

Acts 12:24 Churches is also committed to starting a church multiplication movement based on the Community Church Planting (CCP) model that God has been blessing around the globe. CCP is a church planting model based on Luke 10. The CCP model believes as Jesus had declared the resources to plant churches are in the harvest. While these churches start with a small group, they are not intended to be house churches only, but to develop into a more structured church.

We are using various models like T4T, Movement that Changed the World, and principally   Bruce Bennett. Bruce’s model has been very effective around the globe, and in Africa alone he planted over 44,000 churches, and has produced five million new believers in Jesus Christ. We are committed to learning how to adapt these models in western cultures to obtain similar results.

Our Regional Work
